These playing cards are half playing cards and half flip-books, and truly, the combination works so well.
I always socialize playing cards with magic and wonder, and these cards do not disappoint. The cards themselves are absolutely beautiful, the detail that the designers have gone to make sure these cards work as a flip book is phenomenal. A great idea that has been executed with such precision.
On 'The Moonphases Playing Cards' Campaign page they explain the reason behind the design perfectly, "Playing cards are profoundly inspired by the concept of time, they perfectly represent and symbolize the night and day (red and black), the 52 weeks in a year (fifty two cards in a deck) and even the 13 lunar cycles (the thirteen values). We think a deck of playing cards is the perfect canvas to pay homage to horology and watchmaking." I couldn't agree more, the designers have truly found a combination that works, and they have delivered the idea with perfection.
