That was the only word I could think of when finding this project... Mesmerising!
I know that I would stare at this all day, it's elegant, intriguing, it's just, beautiful!
The 'KIRUMA', which is a portmanteau word (combines two words together) of 'Kiri', which is Japanese for cut, and 'Luma', which is Esperanto for 'light', combining the two gives a new meaning - 'to cut the light'... I act as if I knew this before, but it is fully detailed on KIRUMA's kickstarter page, but I feel more knowledgeable now I know this.
Looking at this fantastic piece of art, I feel like it could of just worked as a decorative ornament, but to then put a backing light inside, is just perfect. It's takes that art piece and wows your guests.
The design itself reminds of Escher's art style and really works in this form. I need one of these in my home!!
